Oh hey, I'm in Hong Kong.
Armed with my new camera, I'm ready to take on Hong Kong (note the Occidental College shirt).
My first blog post of the new school year, and I'm not even at Oxy. I have the opportunity to spend this semester abroad, studying at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. This place is quite a bit different from Oxy, and from Los Angeles in general. Let's get the obvious out of the way: I am in a foreign country, and I am reminded by that fact
multiple hundreds of times per day. From the Cantonese spoken on the bus, to the fact that most of the signs I encounter are written in Chinese first, then English, I'm certainly not in Kansas Los Angeles anymore. I've met so many great people and had so many great experiences so far. And I would love to share them with you, so check out my blog: www.davidsacci.com. I'm trying to make an effort of updating my blog every other day so that you and all my other followers can be up to date on my happenings. I've uploaded a ton of pictures so far and intend to put more up in the future--you can check them out by clicking the "Gallery" button at the top of website header. Come to read my anxious pre-flight thoughts, see the amazing food I've been eating and tag along on the trips that I've been taking. And after you're done scouring my website, maybe you yourself will think about studying abroad. I highly recommend it. Oxy's International Programs Office has been extremely helpful so far and they are a great resource for any student who is considering studying abroad.
