John Lang is deeply interested in food as a site for sociological exploration.
John Lang received his Ph.D. in Sociology from Rutgers University in 2007. He also holds master’s and bachelor's degrees in Sociology from Rutgers University. Prior to joining the Occidental College faculty in 2008, John was a visiting assistant professor of Sociology at Temple University.
Currently an Associate Professor of Sociology at Occidental College in Los Angeles, California, John is deeply interested in food as a site for sociological exploration. His research, found in highly-regarded academic journals, involves the relationship between food, risk, trust, consumers and consumption.
