ITS is committed to lowering our environmental impact where we can. Our multi-function printers are set up to print double-sided by default, and we use release to print functionality on campus to help reduce waste.

Papercut Printing System

Employees with Oxy Issued Computers will have their printers pre-installed. More information can be found on our help page: Papercut for Oxy Issued Computers.

Students and employees with personal devices will need to connect their device. Please visit our help guide for how to connect: Papercut for Student & Personal Devices.

Printer Features

Ricoh multi-function devices can print, copy, and scan. Papercut allows users to print from mobile devices (iPhone, Android, Chromebooks) and offers robust scanning digitization features. The tap to print on public devices maintains Oxy's commitment to reducing paper waste from printing jobs that were sent in error.

Technical Support:

If you have problems printing from your computer to one of the multifunction devices or network printers, contact the Technology Helpdesk at helpdesk@oxy.edu) or 323-259-2880. ITS will troubleshoot the issues, and handle the transition to the on-campus Document Output & Creative Services (DOCS) technician if needed.

If you have any problems with clearing a paper jam or using the multi-function device itself, please contact Document Output & Creative Services (DOCS) at 323-259-2585 or docs@oxy.edu.

Supplies for multifunction devices:

If you need supplies (toner, paper, staples, etc.), contact Document Output & Creative Services (DOCS) (323-259-2585 or docs@oxy.edu), located in AGC 120. DOCS has two technicians on campus who will regularly check printers and copiers on a weekly or bi-weekly basis to ensure adequate levels of supplies and perform routine maintenance.

Training for multifunction devices:

If you would like training for the multifunction devices contact Nicole Placensia in the Business Office (nplacensia@oxy.edu, 323-259-2660). She will work with Ricoh to arrange for a training session for you or your department. You can also learn more about how to use the multi-function devices.
