Professor Fitzmorris teaches courses in technical theater, producing and manages the three theaters on campus: Keck Theater, Thorne Hall, and Hillside Amphitheater.
Brian has been at Oxy since 1993, coming from Duke University where he was the Director of Design and Production. Prior to that, he was the Technical Director for the Pittsburgh Playhouse. Brian has led students in the implementation of scenery and production elements for over 75 mainstage productions on the Keck stage, mentoring students in technical areas of study, and managed countless other events in the three theaters. In addition to his position at Occidental College, Brian is very active professionally, regularly involving Oxy students and alumni in a wide range of events. As President and CEO for Lineset 10 Incorporated (www.lineset10.com), Brian has been Line Producer for events such as The UNICEF Ball, The Princess Grace Awards, the Producers Guild of America Awards, the Alzheimer’s Greater Los Angeles Evening to Remember and the Homeboy Industries Lo Maximo Awards.
