At this CRS workshop, we will review a slew of new research on the “mid-career malaise": studies on the challenges faculty face at this stage of one’s professional career, data on productivity trajectories across academic careers, and strategies on staying engaged, fulfilled, and productive. Then we’ll have a discussion on how this scholarship matches our own experience.
