Purpose:
The National Science Graduate Research Fellowship Program funds three years of graduate school for students pursuing Master's and doctoral degrees in STEM fields.
Eligibility:
In order to be eligible, a candidate must:
- be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- have not yet completed graduate study by August 1 of the year the application is submitted
- be an undergraduate senior, a post-baccalaureate who has not yet received graduate training, or in their first or second year of graduate school
- be pursuing research in a STEM field
Application Process:
There is no internal Oxy application process independent of the national application, but applicants are encouraged to share drafts of their applications with faculty members and with the Director of National and International Fellowships.
