Each semester, Oxy Arts supports and funds Occidental students in internships at local arts organizations across Los Angeles. For Media Arts & Culture major Alexia Lara ’26, fall semester included an immersive experience at Avenue 50 Studio, a community art space near campus.

I arrived at the Incheon International Airport at 5:00 a.m. I brought out my T-Money card, which I have had since 2019, and took the hour-and-a-half subway ride to Hanyang University, where I was attending my J-term abroad.

One unique program that Occidental offers students is the Kahane United Nations Program. Every fall semester, a cohort of students head to New York City to immerse themselves in a full-time internship at UN-related agencies, non-governmental organizations or country missions.
