In honor of Dr. King’s spirit of service and peace, MLK Day of Service engages Oxy students, staff, faculty, and alumni in day-long community-based projects.
REGISTER TODAY! MLK DAY OF SERVICE 2020 - REGISTRATION APPLICATION
The day often involves more than 200 students, staff, faculty, and alumni working with at least 10-15 community partners across the city of Los Angeles. Daylong projects will include habitat restoration, gardening, mentoring & making blankets for families in need, facility beautification and cleanup, storage sorting, health kit assembly, and setting up a new shelter for veterans, and organizing food pantries.
Opening Ceremony: Hillside Theatre/Greek Bowl
8am-8:40: Check-in & continental breakfast
8:45-9:15: Welcome & Opening Remarks
9:15-9:30: Walk to buses and depart to sites
2-3pm: Return to Oxy
