Please join us as we celebrate the Class of 2020 with a virtual, live streamed celebration in advance of a separate, in-person Commencement ceremony in 2021.
The Celebration premiers at 10 a.m. PST on Sunday, June 14 at oxy.edu/commencement. To enhance the virtual celebration, Commencement boxes were sent to each graduating senior with a diploma, a Commencement program, cap and tassel, cultural grad and academic stoles, honor cords and certificates.
Please note: For those who do not receive their graduation boxes in the mail by June 14, we have planned a second, group viewing on Saturday, June 20 at 10 a.m. If you are unable to “attend” the Celebration during designated times, a recording of the event will be available on this webpage for you and your extended family to view at your convenience.
The celebration will include brief remarks from President Veitch and Deans Wendy Sternberg and Rob Flot; performances by the Glee Club; senior photos submitted by students; and a reading of each graduate’s name. Plus, don’t miss the special video shoutouts to the Class of 2020 from Oxy faculty and staff, which will be woven into the reading of the names.
We want this event to give you a chance to celebrate your many achievements with your family, friends and classmates. It’s also an opportunity to welcome you as Oxy alumni and to demonstrate the enduring strength of the Oxy community that transcends the miles that currently separate us.
Details about the 2021 ceremony will be announced as they are available.
