Oxy’s annual Apollo Night is a talent show that concludes Black History Month with diverse talents from a range of students.
Faculty and Staff: email bsa@oxy.edu to get tickets before the show date OR purchase tickets at the door the night of the show. Apollo Night pre-sale tickets are currently $6. During the week of the show (2/20-2/24), the tickets will be selling for $12.
The Black Student Alliance (BSA) organizes Apollo Night every year as a way to showcase student talent on campus. It is a great opportunity for both videographers and performers to show their skills. Apollo Night is always on the last Friday of Black History Month and pays homage to the Apollo Theater––the renowned music hall for live entertainment in Harlem that played an influential role in the emergence of genres of jazz, R&B, gospel, blues and soul from the 1930s and beyond.
