Interested in leadership developement and women empowerment?
The mission of the Occidental Women in Leadership Program (OWL) is to develop leadership skills in women and trans-women that are relevant to whatever life path or career they choose to follow, including but not limited to: business, education, non-profit organizations, government, political activism, and community service. OWL will engage students in dialogues relating specifically to issues relevant to women as well as give students the opportunity to build skills that will help them transition their leadership ability beyond campus (e.g., negotiating workshops, managing conflict workshops, assertiveness trainings, etc.). OWL will allow for women to come together in a woman to woman space to discuss issues that particularly impact them in college and in their future careers while simultaneously allowing students to create lasting friendships as well as a supportive professional networks.
