Art & Activism

The panel  Art & Activism examines how, in times of social and political divisiveness, artists can and are using their art practice as a form of political practice, resistance and protest.

This talk considers how art can be a viable tool for advocacy and agency through the work of a panel of artists across disciplines: theater, dance, music, and visual art.

Students of Loren Battley's voice studio will present the music they have been practicing this semester, including jazz standards, pop hits, and original songs.

Please join MUSC107 (Voice Class) for a guest lecture-recital by mezzo-soprano Olga Perez Flora, who will demonstrate and discuss classical singing, from the oratorio and opera repertoire to Cuban art song. Come learn about what sets classical vocal technique apart from other genres.
