We are delighted to have guest speaker, Julia Harkleroad '05, MS, LCMFT, a licensed clinical marriage and family therapist with nearly 10,000 hours of face to face time with families lead this special webinar for Oxy families. Harkleroad designs curriculum for school districts, corporations and not-for-profits. She is a mental health advocate and presents publicly on topics of concern to parents today such as: suicide prevention, anxiety, social and emotional connection, stress management and college launching.
Please join the Office of National and International Fellowships on March 1st at 12pm for a conversation with five Oxy alumni who received fellowships to fund a variety of opportunities. The five will discuss their experiences researching and teaching abroad, working with the California state senate, and developing skills in philanthropic and nonprofit arenas.
The Udall Scholarship is awarded to college sophomores and juniors who are U.S. citizens and are interested in working in issues related to the environment, sustainability, or Native rights and healthcare. Applicants must provide evidence of leadership and service related to one of these issues.

Juan Pablo Pardo-Guerra is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of California at San Diego. His research explores the connections between markets, cultures, and technologies. Combining theoretical insights from economic sociology and science and technology studies, he has conducted historical research on the automation of stock exchanges, the development of national financial infrastructures, and the emergence of algorithmic and high-frequency trading.
