Temporary Housing Accommodations
- The application process for temporary housing accommodations mirrors that of other accommodations.
Housing accommodations may be granted on a temporary basis (for a semester or full academic year) or permanently, depending on individual circumstances.
Examples of Short-Term Injuries
Concussion
For students who have experienced a concussion, symptoms can vary in duration and intensity. Students may qualify for temporary academic and housing accommodations. Faculty/Staff can use the Concussion Management form for reference or referral.
- Students should have documentation from their current treating provider.
- Students should contact DS to discuss academic accommodations or academic flexibility, if needed.
- If the concussion is severe, students may want to consider a reduced course load or dropping a course.
Physical Injuries
For students who have sustained a physical injury, students may qualify for temporary housing or academic accommodations. If you need immediate support, students should be referred to accessibility@oxy.edu
