Danielle Harris headshot
Associate Director for Racial Equity, Intercultural Community Center

Danielle (she, her) supports student programming, advising, and advocacy for student communities while centering Black students on campus. Prior to Occidental, Danielle served as the Legislative and Campaign Manager at CA Calls, where she contributed to three statewide campaigns focused on housing justice, referendum reform, and voting rights. Known for her transformative and unconventional approach, Danielle is an educator, poet, and organizer. In her previous roles, she discovered the power of storytelling within historically marginalized communities, including those impacted by systems and involvement in gangs. Danielle is eager to return to her roots in higher education and to learn and grow alongside the ICC team.

Danielle holds a Master of Science in College Counseling and Student Development, as well as a Bachelor’s in Sociology and Ethnic Studies from Azusa Pacific University. When she's not working, you can find Danielle on a plane, performing poetry on stage, scrolling endlessly on Instagram, riding her bike Alfonso, or cuddling with her Pitbull, Huey.
