Melissa Plair
Senior Staff Therapist

Melissa is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of California and Michigan, respectively. She received her BBA from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia, and M.A. in Counselor Education with a specialization in Marriage, Couple and Family from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Melissa’s experience includes work with clients from diverse backgrounds and identities with a wide range of presenting concerns in private and public college and university campus, K-12 school based, private practice and non-profit agency settings. She is particularly interested in fostering and facilitating the creation and maintenance of equitable and safe spaces for students that respect, honor and are inclusive of their identities both in the therapy session and outside of it. Melissa’s college mental health experience also includes work to increase prevention and equity in mental health utilizing the JED Campus approach and Equity in Mental Health framework.
