Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs
Paolo Velasco serves as assistant dean for academic affairs under the direction of the vice president for academic affairs and dean of the college. He provides strategic support and leadership to the dean’s office, serving as the principal resource for administering, overseeing, and facilitating the operations-related functions and programs for the office of academic affairs. He is responsible for accounting and financial operations, personnel payroll administration, supervision of academic support services staff, facilities, and equipment management, long and short-range space planning, data collection and analysis, policy and procedure documentation, and special projects or initiatives as direct by the dean.
