You are invited to see Parajanov's award-winning Ukranian film, deemed "a timeless Carpathian story," about a young man who falls in love with the daughter of his father's killer among the Hutsul people of Ukraine.
The event will consist of a catered dinner, open mic night, trivia game, and a screening of Anabel Gullo's "The City and the Sea" documentary screening. This is an opportunity to bring together students, faculty, and staff to close out UN Week 2020.

This panel presents a student-led discussion regarding campus sustainability efforts and how students can get more involved in student organizations to promote sustainable practices. Kevin Patel, an off-campus speaker from LMU and OneUpAction, will be discussing ways students can become more involved in a non-Oxy setting. Kaye Jenkins (Campus Dining Sustainability Intern) will speak about efforts on campus to reduce plastic waste as well as experiences with bringing ethical vendors to campus dining.
This is an interactive opportunity for you to learn more about the multitude of ways you can get involved in sustainability efforts both on and off campus.
This year’s theme, Climate Change & Environmental Justice, reflects the UN's Sustainable Development Goal #13. The SDGs are a collection of 17 global goals designed to be a "blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all". They were set in 2015 by the United Nations General Assembly and are intended to be achieved by the year 2030.
Each semester, Oxy clubs, orgs and departments come together to help students explore involvement opportunities, identify shared interests, and exhibit student support services. Join us at the iFair to network and get a better sense of what this semester has to offer both on campus and in the Greater Los Angeles Area.
