There are several health forms that you need to complete before Tuesday, August 1; you must also waive or opt-in to Oxy's health insurance by that date. And, don't forget to add Authorized Users to your eBill account before July 12!

Greetings, Tigers!

We hope you are enjoying your summer and feeling excited about your arrival here on campus in a little over a month. As move-in day approaches, we want to remind you about some key deadlines that are approaching.

  • Wednesday, July 12, is the deadline to set up authorized users on your eBill account . To do so, login to myOxy, select the "Student Services" page and then locate the "go to my eBill" link. Add your Authorized Users by clicking on the "Authorized Users" link on the right-hand side menu. Your first eBill will be emailed to your Oxy account, and any authorized users, on Monday, July 17.

  • Tuesday, August 1, is the deadline to submit all health forms and to either waive or opt-in to student health insurance

As a refresh, our goal for your time at Occidental is to thrive not just academically, but also in your physical and mental wellness. On campus, you can find medical care, psychological counseling services and student-driven wellness education through the Emmons Wellness Center. In order to access health and wellness resources on campus and locally, we ask that you provide important health and insurance information. For an overview of what is needed, please review our June 8 message.

You can access all new student health forms at http://myhealth.oxy.edu. You will need your myOxy login in order to access the forms. New student health forms must be printed, signed and scanned or completed electronically. You can find a list of all health forms that must be submitted here. Please keep in mind that all forms have to be manually reviewed by our medical providers before the hold can be removed. Please allow our medical providers 5-7 business days to process any clearance forms after you submit.

For on-campus study, students are required to have insurance that covers primary and specialty care services in Los Angeles County - only urgent and emergency care coverage does not qualify for a health insurance waiver. If you do not manually opt-in to the student health plan or submit a waiver with proof of existing health insurance by Tuesday, August 1 , you will be automatically enrolled in the student health plan and the full amount will be billed to your student account. Students who are international citizens are automatically enrolled in this insurance plan at registration on a mandatory basis.

Please note : Financial aid for student health insurance may be available through the OSHIP Grant. Eligible students will receive further instruction on how to apply for this grant.

Health care services are also available year-round to all students via our free telehealth app, TimelyCare. This virtual health and well-being platform allows any enrolled Oxy student to utilize this service, regardless of medical insurance. Services include on-demand medical care and emotional support, scheduled counseling and medical visits, and self-care content. Visit timelycare.com/oxy or download the TimelyCare app to get started.

Thank you so much for your attention to these upcoming deadlines. If you have questions about the health forms and insurance, please contact Emmons Wellness Center at emmons@oxy.edu to receive a response within two to three business days. If you have any further questions or concerns, you can always let us know at admission@oxy.edu or at (323) 259-2700.

P.S. The Meal Plan Form is officially open! Please fill this out and submit as soon as you can
