Request Computer & Specialized Software
ITS provides all full time staff with a standard issue computer (Dell or Apple) with optional upgrades that can be purchased by the hiring department. Hiring managers will have placed requests for equipment and your may retreive your computer from the ITS helpdesk in the Academic Commons, Rm 116. If you need additional equipment, such as dual monitors, docking stations or upgrades of storage or memory, these can be requested through your department supervisor, ideally ahead of your start date. Your computer will come with antivirus software, Microsoft Office, and printer drivers installed.
Confirm Wifi Access
Once annually, the Oxy Community will be asked to register their devices on the wireless network. Usually, a window will open automatically and you can log in with your Oxy credentials. If the window doesn't open automatically, go to onet.oxy.edu to register.

Log into My Oxy
Log in to MyOxy (my.oxy.edu) to ensure your oxy.edu account is set up. MyOxy is the online portal for internal resources and links within the Oxy Community. From here you can change your password, access your time sheet/leave report, find a directory of useful links in My Gateway, and quick links to Google Workspace and the Library.

At Oxy we use Google apps for email, calendar invitations, document creating and sharing, chat and email lists. When you first log in, be sure that Google recognizes your oxy.edu account in addition to any personal gmail account you may have.
