Peace Labyrinth, Monday, October 7, 11:30 am-1:30 pm, Upper Herrick: The ORSL labyrinth will be available in Herrick Chapel for all campus community members to engage in peaceful meditation and individual reflection. At 12:30 p.m., Rev. Dr. Susan Young, Director for Religious and Spiritual Life, will host a candle lighting ceremony and moment of prayer.The labyrinth is a resource for engaging in contemplative prayer or walking meditation. The ORSL labyrinth is patterned after the labyrinth located at the Chartres Cathedral in France. The practice of walking a labyrinth is an invitation to spend time in sacred contemplation. People are invited to walk at their own pace into the center of the labyrinth following the path. Once reaching the center, people may sit to meditate, journal or pray before proceeding to walk out of the labyrinth following the same sacred path.

Monday, October 7, 6:30-8:00 pm, JSC Commons: Tariq Ali, the Muslim Student Life Coordinator, will hold a communal space centering Muslim students, faculty, and staff.
Sound Bath, October 8, 6:30-7:30 pm, Upper Herrick: Join us for a night of guided meditation focused on letting go. Please bring a yoga mat or blanket to lie down on. This event is for current Oxy students, faculty and staff.
Interfaith Luncheon, November 19, noon to 1:00 pm, Cannon Plaza: Join us for lunch as we celebrate the Oxy community. Advanced registration required. Please look for information in the Oxy Digest in early November.
Finals Week Study Breaks: Join us for study breaks on Monday, December 11 and Tuesday, December 12. We will be in Lower Herrick with snacks and arts and crafts from 7 to 11 pm.
